Ludhiana: Police have arrested a factory worker for raping a colleague’s minor daughter. The accused was a regular visitor to the victim’s house. He raped the girl on July 14, but initially she was too scared to tell her parents. On Monday, she told her mother, following which a police complaint was filed. On the complaint of the 13-year-old girl’s mother, a case was filed against the accused. The complainant told police that the accused knew the family well. She said her daughter had told her that the accused had come on July 14 when she was alone at home with her younger brother. She said he had given her brother some money and asked him to buy some food. When the boy left the house, the accused raped her and threatened her to keep quiet. Police said raids were underway to arrest the accused. tnn
