Bribery: Three police officers suspended for bribery | Chennai News

Chennai: Three traffic policemen, including a sub-inspector, were suspended on Tuesday after they allegedly accepted bribes from motorists. A video of the policemen collecting bribes under the Doveton flyover was aired on a news channel, following which an internal investigation was initiated. After an internal investigation, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) R Sudhakar found Sub-Inspector Ramesh and Constables Ramesh and Raguraman, all attached to Vepery traffic police, guilty. Sudhakar said he would not tolerate any corruption in the department and he would not hesitate to suspend officers involved in corruption.
