SLIPPERY ROCK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WJW) – A 10-year-old girl is fighting for her life in the hospital after her father and siblings were killed in a car crash in Pennsylvania over the weekend.

The accident occurred early Saturday morning in Slippery Rock Township in Lawrence County.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the vehicle left the side of State Route 65 for “an unknown reason,” striking two power poles and a parked car before becoming airborne and hitting several trees.

The driver, 44-year-old Nathan Bogacki, and two teenagers, 17-year-old Emma Bogacki and 13-year-old Grant Bogacki, were killed in the accident.

The only survivor, 10-year-old Aubrey Bogacki, was flown to UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh with serious injuries.

The Howland Local School District confirmed that two of the children, Aubrey and Grant, are middle school students in the district. Superintendent Kevin Spicher released a statement Tuesday about the tragedy.

“I regret to inform you that one of our families whose children attend our middle school recently suffered a tragic loss in a car accident,” Superintendent Spicher said on Facebook. “We know there will be many emotions and we want to support the mother of this family, Nicole, as she and her extended family grieve and try to cope with this tragedy and Aubrey’s recovery.”

The school district offers counseling and emotional support.

Meanwhile, relatives have set up a GoFundMe page for the family and Aubrey, who, according to the organizers, faces a “difficult road to recovery.” So far (as of Tuesday evening), the campaign has raised over $127,000.

The crash is currently still under investigation.
