Houston Texans sell out tickets for 2024 season

The Texans have “sold out all of their 2024 season tickets,” the first time season tickets have sold out before the season begins since 2019. Single-game and group tickets for Texans home games can still be purchased on the team’s website, Ticketmaster or at the NRG Stadium box office. The Texans made their first playoff appearance in four years last season (Houston Chronicle, 07/23).

Owner of the Texans Cal McNair Repairs to NRG Stadium’s roof after Hurricane Beryl damage “will take some time,” but they are “hopeful that we will have them up about a month into the season.” The hurricane removed “several panels from the stadium’s retractable roof earlier this month.” McNair said the damage was “not as severe as when Category 2 Hurricane Ike passed through the area” in 2008 and “dislodged five panels and caused the postponement of a Texans home game that season.” McNair said that despite the damage, they “should be able to keep the roof open or closed for games and will continue to evaluate other upcoming events” at the 72,000-seat venue.Houston Chronicle, 07/23).
