Terrell Davis shares video of ‘disgusting’ airplane incident with authorities

A video has now surfaced following the controversial incident involving Broncos Hall of Fame running back Terrell Davis on an airplane.

In the footage provided by Davis’ attorney Parker Stinar, an FBI agent – wearing a beige hoodie and gray cap – can be seen leaning over to Davis in his seat to handcuff him.

A police officer in a green uniform was believed to be standing next to the agent, while Davis’ wife, Tamiko Nash, watched from across the airplane aisle with the couple’s children.

Nash appeared to ask for clarification while collecting Davis’ belongings after being escorted off the plane by officials.

Davis, 51, first shared his altercation with police in an Instagram post on July 15 and is now suing United Airlines.

“This video confirms the harrowing story of how multiple law enforcement officials, including the FBI, boarded the plane and detained a shocked, frightened, humiliated and submissive Mr. Davis in front of his wife, Tamiko, his minor children and more than a hundred passengers,” Stinar said in a statement. “The reasons for the United Airlines employee’s fraudulent or inaccurate report go far beyond a mere request for ice cream or an innocent pat on the shoulder.”

Davis claimed he was detained on a flight from Denver to Orange County, California, after asking a flight attendant for a cup of ice cream for his son. He wrote that he “lightly tapped” the flight attendant on the arm to get her attention.

Davis subsequently claimed that the airline employee shouted “Don’t hit me” and “left the car and hurried to the front of the plane.”

From there, Davis said, he was arrested when the plane landed in California and later questioned by authorities.

“I refuse to stand idly by and denounce this heinous injustice and deplorable treatment by United Airlines,” Davis said. “These lies and the events that followed have the potential to damage the reputation I have built over decades, and this individual should not be able to do this to anyone in the future.”

Since Davis made his report public, United Airlines has apologized and the flight attendant involved is currently unable to work.

“This is clearly not the type of travel experience we aim to provide, and we have reached out to Mr. Davis’ team to apologize,” United said in a statement. “We have removed the flight attendant from duty while we closely investigate this matter.”

The three-time Pro Bowler and two-time Super Bowl champion played his entire seven-year career with the Denver Broncos, last playing in 2001 and being inducted into Canton in 2017.
