VIDEO: Clearwater police offer tips on driving under the influence…don’t do it

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – A new video from Clearwater teaches anyone thinking about driving under the influence of alcohol an important lesson: Don’t do it.

Clearwater police posted the video on Facebook as part of their “Tuesday Traffic Safety Tip.” It shows a drunk driver crashing into a sign and gate at the city’s landfill.

“This was the driver’s third time driving under the influence of alcohol. He was also charged with multiple drug offenses and was booked into the Pinellas County Jail,” the CPD said in a Facebook post.

To avoid ending up like this gate, don’t get behind the wheel after a few drinks.
