Dead puppies left on Chester County golf course, police say – NBC10 Philadelphia

Police in Chester County are investigating after more than half a dozen dead puppies were found on the ninth hole of a golf course in Caln Township on Monday.

According to police, officers were contacted after seven dead puppies, identified as pit bull terriers, were found on the ninth hole of the Ingleside Golf Course, about 110 yards from the U.S. Route 30 bypass, on Monday.

Officers with the Caln Township Police Department said the puppies are all believed to be between six and eight weeks old and appear to have come from the same litter.

Authorities did not provide any information about how the dogs died.

Police believe the animals’ remains were left on the golf course within 12 to 18 hours of their discovery.

Police officials said the Brandywine Valley SPCA is assisting with the investigation.

A representative from the BVSPCA told NBC10 that the incident was a “really sad situation.”

“This is a really sad situation, but we can only hope that someone knows something. These animals deserve better than to be treated like garbage,” the representative said.
