Minors raped in Kalikot, one person arrested

KALIKOT, July 23: A 16-year-old girl was raped in Kalikot. Police have arrested 21-year-old Nabin Raj Baduwal of Kankasundari Rural Municipality-5 in Jumla for rape.

According to Poshan Thapa, spokesman of Kalikot district police office, Baduwal raped the girl on July 20 at 11 pm.

Baduwal is a tractor driver. According to police, he went to the victim’s house in Tilagufa community and committed the crime.

Baduwal was remanded in custody for five days while the girl was handed over to her relatives after a health check-up, according to the Kalikot district police office.
