More spray-painted vehicles found in mass graffiti incident in Alsip

ALSIP, IL – Police are asking Alsip residents to check their security cameras in connection with a “mass graffiti incident” early Sunday morning in Alsip and Oak Lawn.

Several graffiti were found on garage doors and vehicles, especially west of Cicero Avenue in Alsip.

“We are asking residents to review their video footage and look for any cars or suspects that may provide valuable information in this case,” Alsip police said in a press release.

In Oak Lawn, over 70 cars were damaged on Sunday night. Most of the vehicles were spray-painted with the words “BLM” and “Crack.”

On Monday, Oak Lawn police released surveillance images of a white man wearing a dark hoodie with the hood pulled up, gray sweatpants, brown boots and a black backpack.
