2 people arrested after attempted break-in into railway carriage in Brighton Park

Two people were arrested after attempting to break into a railroad car in Chicago’s Brighton Park neighborhood on Monday night.

According to CPD, around 8 p.m., police received a report of a theft in progress at a railroad yard in the area of ​​3400 West 35th Street, where five to six men attempted to break into a railroad car.

As officers approached, the suspects fled on foot. Two of them were arrested, one of whom was pulled from the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal, police said.
