Man found shot in Goshen Township

GOSHEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) – A man is dead and a suspect is in custody in connection with a fatal shooting in Clermont County overnight, according to Goshen Township police.

The shooting was reported around 10 p.m. Monday from a trailer in the 1700 block of Ohio 28, police said on social media.

This address is Lakeshore Estates Mobile Home Park on Ohio 28.

“There is no ongoing threat to the community. Detectives are currently on scene investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting,” police wrote in a Facebook post.

When police and emergency services arrived at the scene, they said they found a man with a gunshot wound.

Life-saving measures were taken, but according to police they were unsuccessful.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the victim will be released once his family has been notified.

A suspect was arrested and the weapon used in the incident was confiscated, police said on Facebook.
