Man dead after shooting in Goshen Township

GOSHEN TWP., Ohio – A man is dead following a shooting in Clermont County Monday night, according to a post on the Goshen Township Police Department’s Facebook page.

The shooting occurred around 10 p.m. in the 1700 block of State Route 28.

According to police, rescue workers found an adult man with a gunshot wound at the scene.

The victim died at the scene of the accident.

The man’s identity will not be revealed until the family has been notified, the Facebook post says.

Goshen Township police said a “suspicious person” was in custody. According to the Facebook post, police also seized a firearm that was involved in the shooting.

It is unclear what led to the shooting.

According to the police, there is no danger to the public.
