MESQUITE, Texas — The Mesquite Police Department has confirmed that one of its officers is under investigation by the Wylie Police Department.

The Mesquite Police Department is cooperating fully with the investigation and the officer in question has been placed on leave, according to a police press release.

Police did not provide any details about the investigation.
