Franklin

Hit and run

N. Morton St. and Commerce Drive: A woman reported at 9:27 p.m. Saturday that a man in a dark-colored SUV drove past her vehicle, struck her passenger side mirror, knocking it off, causing dents and scratches on the door, and then continued south on U.S. 31.

Narcotics

N. Morton St. and Earlywood Drive: An officer reported at 10:16 p.m. Sunday that he smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle during a traffic stop for speeding. After a search of the vehicle, marijuana and paraphernalia were found. The driver received a citation for possession of marijuana, a warning for speeding, and a minor passenger received a citation for possession of paraphernalia.

10 N. Morton St., Circle K: An officer reported at 8:19 a.m. Sunday that he spotted a vehicle parked at one of the gas pumps with a man slumped in the driver’s seat. After waking the man, he discovered a pipe with white residue inside. After a search of the vehicle, paraphernalia and narcotics were found. The driver was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.

20 S. Morton St., Parking Lot: An officer reported at 8:49 a.m. Saturday that he smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle during a traffic stop. After a search of the vehicle, several narcotics and paraphernalia were located, the driver received a summons for possession of marijuana and a summons for possession of paraphernalia and was released from the scene.

Accident with personal injury

Sunday, 10:09 a.m. – N. Morton St. and Acorn Blvd. A 44-year-old woman reported minor bleeding and injuries to her elbow/forearm. Three juveniles reported minor injuries.

2000 block of Bridlewood Drive: A woman reported at 6:56 p.m. Sunday that she had loaned her vehicle to a relative and the relative was not returning it.

Johnson County

Narcotics

S. Morgantown Road and W. Smith Valley Road, Greenwood: An officer reported at 5:18 p.m. Sunday that he noticed the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle during a traffic stop for an expired license plate. After a search, marijuana was found, the passenger was cited for marijuana possession, and the driver received a citation for marijuana possession and a warning for expired license plates.

I-65 S. at Mile 89, Franklin: An officer reported at 12:26 p.m. Friday that he discovered paraphernalia in the vehicle during a traffic stop. After a search of the vehicle, a small plastic ziplock bag containing marijuana was found and the driver received a citation for possession of marijuana and warnings for the other offenses.

Accidents involving personal injury

Sunday, 12:50 p.m. – State Road 44 and Centerline Road, Franklin. A 20-year-old man reported abrasion and injury to his hip/thigh.

Friday, 6:54 p.m. – State Road 44 and Centerline Road, Franklin. A 66-year-old man was reported unconscious and had suffered a facial injury.

Wednesday, 2.10pm – Fairview Road and Leisure Lane, Greenwood. A 58-year-old man reported pain and an injury to his shoulder/upper arm.

3816 Hospital Road, main gate of Camp Atterbury, Edinburgh: A man reported two radios stolen from a military vehicle at 10:40am on Sunday.

3816 Hospital Road, main gate of Camp Atterbury, Edinburgh: A man reported at 9:39am on Sunday that a satellite dish had been stolen from the camp sometime during the night.

1091 Hospital Road, Johnson County Jail, Franklin: A woman reported a theft at 3:54 p.m. Friday.

3000 block of S. County Road 600 E., Franklin: A man reported his trailer’s license plate stolen at 12:09 p.m. Friday.
