Police stop operation of a madrasa that operated without a permit

AKIPRESS.COM – Employees of the Service for Combating Extremism and Illegal Migration closed a madrasa on July 19 that had been operating without permission from the relevant government agency, the capital’s Main Internal Affairs Directorate reported.

This fact was registered with the Internal Affairs Department of the Oktyabrsky District of Bishkek and a preliminary investigation was initiated.

At the time of the inspection, 60 children were studying at the madrasa. Police found that hygiene standards were not up to par. The children were being taught without school materials and were crowded together in cramped basement rooms without sunlight or air.

The owner of the madrasa is citizen NK, born in 1993, police reported.

Currently, the activities of the Madrasa are suspended.
