Police on scene after shooting at Northwest Side apartment complex; no injuries reported

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are investigating a crime scene on the Northwest Side where a man fired shots from his apartment, police said.

According to SAPD, a 60-year-old man fired 410 shots from an apartment complex in the 5300 block of NW Loop on Monday evening.

Police said shots were also fired in other parts of the complex.

Police said they knew the man’s identity and believed he was the same person who fired shots from a vehicle in the area on Sunday.

The apartment complex has been evacuated and police are asking the public to avoid the area while they work with SWAT teams to free the man.

The police have issued a request for people living nearby to stay at home.
