AEW star Skye Blue thanks fans for their support following the taping incident

AEW star Skye Blue recently spoke out about a viewer’s extremely inappropriate actions during a taping.

After the end of the May 8 episode of Dynamite, tapings for Ring of Honor took place. Those in attendance reported on social media that an attendee in the front row harassed Skye Blue and some of the comments were sexual. Unfortunately, later reports confirmed that the incident involving the participant, who had a small child with her, had indeed occurred.

Although security spoke to the spectator after he was alerted by referee Aubrey Edwards, he was ejected by security shortly afterwards.

News of the incident spread online, with many showing their appreciation for the performers and calling out the vile comments made by the man present. Blue thanked everyone for the love and support and said the following: social media:

I am overwhelmed by all the love and support. Thank you everyone, you have no idea how much it is appreciated. Let’s make sure future generations of female wrestlers don’t have to deal with this shit.

Rachael ElleringThe Blues’ opponent during the recording also pointed out the unacceptable behavior:

The speed with which @RefAubrey and I left the ring after the match last night to kick that bastard out was remarkable. Speeds of Olympic medalists. I have NEVER in my career heard such vulgar things said to a talent during a game. Sexual harassment is not heckling.

I want to say this: Thank you to the loud and respectful fans who come out to enjoy and support the show. We really appreciate you! This guy wasn’t a fan. He was a pervert who should be banned from performing for life.

Aubrey Edwardswho officiated the game made it clear that this behavior would not be tolerated and would ensure that anyone who did so in the future would be sent off:

If you shout disgusting, vile, hateful things at my colleagues, I will get you kicked out. There is no place for that in wrestling. Heckling is fine, but if you’ve made the cast (myself included) feel uncomfortable in their workplace, you’ve gone too far.

The previous report on the incident also stated that AEW praised Blue, Ellering and Edwards for holding the match together despite the unacceptable behavior of the man in attendance.
