Tallahassee man arrested for assaulting 3-year-old girl in his home

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee man is behind bars after allegedly kidnapping and sexually abusing a 3-year-old girl, according to an affidavit.

According to court documents, Charles Hickson is charged with sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12 and kidnapping of a child under the age of 13.

According to police, Hickson was babysitting four children on Saturday evening, including a three-year-old girl who has autism and cannot speak.

Hickson is accused of taking the child into his own home and attacking her there.

In an affidavit, investigators wrote that the three-year-old’s mother found Hickson with the girl.

Prosecutors could seek the death penalty against Hickson.
