Shooting in Stockton: 39-year-old man killed

STOCKTON, Calif. – Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Sunday evening in Stockton.

Stockton police said officers responded to reports of a shooting around 10:10 p.m. in the 700 block of North California Street. They found a 39-year-old man who was taken to a hospital where he later died.

It is unclear what led to the shooting. The man’s name has not been released.
