Sebring, Ohio police are investigating a firearms incident

SEBRING, Ohio (WKBN) – Sebring Police are investigating after receiving reports that a man pointed a gun at people Thursday evening.

Shortly after 7 p.m. Thursday, Sebring police responded to the 100 block of S Johnson Road after reports of a man in a gold pickup pointing a gun at people in the area, according to a release from the department.


The police set up a perimeter and closed off surrounding streets. Officers were eventually able to identify and make contact with the suspect, who surrendered peacefully, the statement said.

According to police, there is no danger to the public and the situation has been contained.

Smith Township and Goshen Police District officers assisted at the scene.
