Three teenagers arrested after chase in three communities

(WJET/WFXP) – Three Erie County teenagers were arrested after leading police on a chase that began in the city of Erie and ended in Wesleyville.

According to PSP Erie, on July 5 at around 2 a.m., police officers noticed the driver of a silver Jeep driving at a high rate of speed down East 38th Street near Page Street when they attempted to stop him.


When the driver allegedly refused to stop, a chase ensued through Harborcreek and Wesleyville at speeds of up to 120 miles per hour.

The chase eventually ended in a Wesleyville resident’s yard after the driver attempted to drive through it but was stopped by Wesleyville County Police.

The driver, a 16-year-old boy from Edinboro, was arrested along with two 15-year-old boys from Erie and charged by various organizations. Police also said the teens had alcohol on them.
