Woman in her 30s dies after attack by pet dog in Coventry | UK news

A woman in her thirties has died in Coventry after being attacked by a pet dog, West Midlands Police said.

Officers arrived at Wexford Road at around 12:15pm today.

“A woman in her 30s was treated on site by emergency services, but unfortunately died a short time later despite all efforts,” police said.

“The woman’s family has been informed and our thoughts are with them following today’s tragedy.”

The dog was confiscated and the death was reported to the coroner for further investigation.

The police assume that this is not a banned breed of dog.
