Texas Department of Public Safety offices still recovering from CrowdStrike incident – Willy 1550 & 98.7

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) continues to be affected by the Global CrowdStrike incident. CrowdStrike has confirmed that this is not a security incident or cyberattack, but rather a defect in a content update for Windows hosts.

While some driver licensing offices will reopen on Monday, July 22, others, particularly in rural areas and county buildings, may remain closed or appointments may be canceled. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience as we continue to monitor and evaluate the impact.

We are working hard to notify our customers of cancellations. These notifications will be sent via SMS or email. Please be sure to monitor your inbox and SMS for updates on your appointment status.

We encourage you to check the DPS website throughout the week for updated information on office openings.
