Sam Smith says he could no longer walk after a skiing accident

Sam Smith have set themselves some goals after a terrible injury.

The “Unholy” singer recently revealed that he was unable to walk for a while after tearing his cruciate ligament while skiing.

“I was an idiot and went down a black slope on the second day,” the 32-year-old explained in the July 18 episode of Distracted with Annie and Nick Podcast. “I was taken away in a blood bag. That was the worst.”

The ligaments “between the bones that help you jump and hop around,” the Grammy winner continued, “are completely torn and I chose the non-surgical route, but I couldn’t walk with that leg for a month and it was horrible.”

And for Sam, recovery was more than just physical.
