Shooting investigation paralyzes East Market Street

GREENSBORO, NC (WGHP) — East Market Street in Greensboro has been closed due to a shooting investigation.

At approximately 1:07 a.m. on Monday, Greensboro Police arrived in the area of ​​Laurel Street and East Market Street after receiving a report of a serious assault.

At the crime scene, officers found someone with a gunshot wound.

According to investigators, the victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

As a result of the shooting investigation, East Market Street is closed in both directions between Benbow Street and Dudley Street.
