3 dead, 16 injured in shooting at Mississippi nightclub – Firstpost

At least three people were killed and 16 others injured in a shooting near a nightclub in Indianola, Mississippi, local media reported. The incident occurred on Church Street.

Witnesses reported hearing numerous gunshots in the area surrounding the nightclub. Indianola Police Chief Ronald Sampson said people outside the nightclub suddenly heard gunshots.

Indianola Mayor Ken Featherstone confirmed that the deceased were all 19-year-old men.
