A 63-year-old woman and an 8-year-old girl lost their lives when a car was hit by a delivery truck. Highway was closed for three hours after the accident.

When the victims arrived at the emergency room of the Blagoevgrad hospital, tensions escalated between medical staff and the relatives of the deceased. Two patrol cars and hospital guards were deployed to restore order.

The reasons for the incident are still being investigated. Highway has now reopened in the direction of Sofia.
