I-35 in Faribault closed due to police situation

Aside from police officers, I-35 is empty as they respond to an emergency along the highway on the south side of Faribault.

FARIBAULT, Minn. (FOX 9) – Due to a police operation, traffic was delayed on I-35 south of Faribault, Minnesota.

Traffic cameras along I-35 near Lyndale Avenue North in Faribault show police redirecting traffic around 3 p.m. in an area already experiencing traffic delays due to ongoing construction.

At around 4:30 p.m., additional task forces and an armored SWAT vehicle arrived at the scene.

As of 6 p.m., traffic remained closed in both directions.
