Off-duty Lexington, KY police officer Rachael Curnutte is charged with drunk driving

LEXINGTON, Kentucky (FOX 56) – A Lexington police officer was charged with an off-duty shooting Sunday.

According to a press release from the Lexington Police Department (LPD), Officer Rachael Curnutte was observed off-duty driving her car on Man O War Boulevard.

According to police, officers noticed that Curnutte was “under the influence of alcohol.”

Curnutte was arrested Sunday and charged with driving under the influence. She has been relieved of her duties and “relocated to an administrative position” while police investigate the incident, according to the LPD.
