Sexual harassment: 17-year-old girl sexually harassed on her way to coach | Bhopal News

Bhopal: A 17-year-old was followed and sexually harassed on Saturday. The incident was reported at Nishatpura police station. The accused knew the girl from the past. He has not been nabbed yet. Police said the girl was a class 12 student. She was on her way to her tuition class when the accused intercepted her, reached the tuition centre and insisted that she marry him. Police said since they were from the same community, she knew the accused from the past but was not interested in marrying her. Police said the accused had harassed the survivor in the past too and a complaint regarding this was earlier filed with the Intkhedi police. But the accused later came to an agreement with the complainant and assured that he would not harass her again. Police said the accused again followed the girl and came to her classes where he started harassing her. When he created a scene, she called her relatives and those who came from the tuition class too and the accused escaped. Police said she later went to the police and lodged a complaint. A police team is deployed to nab the accused and he will be arrested soon, police added.
