Small weather shifts, but still hot and stormy – 104.5 WOKV

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – First Alert meteorologist Corey Simma is monitoring the heat and storms.

There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms on Sunday afternoon, especially west of I-95. West of Jacksonville, the thunderstorms are likely to increase somewhat and move back towards I-95 in the evening.

The night will remain dry. Thunderstorms are expected on Monday and Tuesday, especially west of I-95.

On Wednesday and Thursday, the wind will turn more strongly from the sea towards the onshore. This will bring rain along the coast in the morning, which will move inland in the afternoon.

On Friday and next weekend, winds will shift more strongly to the southwest, concentrating rain and storms near I-95 again.

It remains hot every day, but temperatures seem to be closer to average.
