The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating after a woman was struck and killed near a Rankin County restaurant. According to MHP, it happened Saturday night near the Sunset Grill. Investigators say a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 67-year-old Donnie Taylor of Brandon, Mississippi, was traveling northbound when it collided with 41-year-old Marcie Errington of Crystal Springs, Mississippi. Errington was pronounced dead at the scene. According to police, Taylor, the driver of the Chevrolet, was not injured. This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating after a woman was struck and killed near a restaurant in Rankin County.

According to MHP, it happened Saturday night near the Sunset Grill.

Investigators say a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 67-year-old Donnie Taylor of Brandon, Mississippi, was traveling north when it collided with 41-year-old Marcie Errington of Crystal Springs, Mississippi.

Errington was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

According to police, Taylor, the driver of the Chevrolet, was not injured.

This accident remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
