Police search for missing 13-year-old girl

FLORISSANT, Missouri – A 13-year-old girl was reported missing from her home in Florissant, according to a hazard alert issued by the St. Louis County Police Department early Sunday morning.

The girl, Betty Phonixe, was last seen in the 1700 block of Emerald Creek Drive around 8:30 p.m. Saturday. The Missouri State Highway Patrol issued the statewide alert around 2:30 a.m.

According to the report, the missing girl is 1.70 m tall and weighs 84 kg. She has black hair, brown eyes and a medium complexion. She was wearing a gray shirt and gray shorts.

The police report did not include a photo of the missing girl, but said she left her nursing home on foot. Police said she may be suffering from depression.

“Anyone who sees the missing person or has any information regarding the missing person in danger should immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call St. Louis County Police at 636-529-8210,” the alert said.
