Burglar shot dead by resident

DENVER (KDVR) — Denver Police investigated a fatal shooting early Sunday Tomorrow in the university district of the city.

The shooting occurred in the 2300 block of East Evans Avenue.

According to police, a resident was surprised by an intruder on his way home. The resident then shot the intruder.

The suspected intruder, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene, Denver police said.

The resident cooperated with the police and the investigation is ongoing.
