Police investigate shooting in Albany on Madison Avenue

ALBANY, NY (NEWS10)– Albany police are investigating a shooting that left a man with a non-life-threatening injury Saturday. Police said the shooting occurred around 4:45 p.m. on Madison Avenue near Trinity Place and a 27-year-old man was transported to Albany Medical Center on his own recognizance with a gunshot wound to the buttocks.

Police said their preliminary investigation indicates the shooting was an isolated incident between the victim and a group of people. Police added they obtained a search warrant and discovered marijuana, pills and other evidence at a home the group entered after the shooting in the 100 block of Madison Avenue.
