Report filed against boy for raping his 8-year-old cousin

The girl’s relatives were out for work when they received the news that she had been injured in an incident, ASP Kumar said. When they returned home, they found bleeding in the girl’s private parts, he added. She was then taken to a hospital where her condition appeared to be stable.

An FIR has been filed against the accused under Section 65 (2) (rape of a woman below 12 years of age) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, he added. Efforts are on to nab the absconding boy, police said.
