Officials: A suspect arrested in connection with the shooting of a police officer | News

PRINCETON, Kent. – One of two men wanted in connection with the shooting of a Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper was arrested early Sunday morning, police officials said.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol Office, Braze Rucker was arrested and taken into custody in Princeton, Kent and transported to the Hopkinsville, Kentucky Police Department.

His arrest was thanks to the efforts of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Kentucky State Police.

Police Officer Adam Cothron was shot on Interstate 40 on Friday evening, July 19, and is currently recovering from his injuries.

Authorities had offered a $10,000 reward for Blazer. Officials are still trying to identify the second shooter.
