More chances of showers & storms early this week

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – The streak of dry weather came to an end this weekend in most of north central Wisconsin. If you didn’t pick up any rain on Saturday in Central Wisconsin, there will be opportunities for showers and storms as Sunday goes along. Warm and a bit humid to start this week. There will be intervals of sun & clouds on Monday, with a risk of showers and storms later in the day and Monday night. A First Alert for Tuesday with additional wet weather expected, along with a few storms. No severe storms are anticipated. Sunshine will be on the menu for later this week as temperatures gradually rise back well into the 80s.

More sunshine in the Northwoods on Sunday, while there will be times of clouds and some sun in Central Wisconsin. A chance of showers and storms Sunday afternoon into the early evening, especially south and west of Wausau. Highs in the mid 70s to around 80.

Any lingering showers or storms will wind down Sunday evening, with a partly cloudy to clear sky overnight into Monday morning. Patchy fog is possible after midnight through a bit after sunrise on Monday. Lows in the mid 50s to near 60.

Partly sunny on Monday, with a chance of afternoon showers and storms, particularly in the Northwoods. Highs in the upper 70s to close to 80. More showers and storms are possible Monday night. A First Alert for Tuesday, as you’ll want to keep the umbrella handy, with times of showers and scattered storms. The risk of severe storms is low, but any stronger storms could produce locally heavy rain, brief gusty winds, small hail, and frequent lightning. Highs on Tuesday in the mid 70s.

Sun along with some clouds on Wednesday. Highs in the mid 70s. A fair amount of sun for Thursday, Friday, and into next weekend. Temperatures will be rising with highs in the upper 70s Thursday, around 80 Friday, and in the mid to upper 80s next Saturday and Sunday.
