The Shiba Inu community has received an urgent warning about scams appearing on Telegram under the name of Shiba Inu lead Shytoshi Kusama. The warning warns SHIB holders to be vigilant against scammers on Telegram posing as Shytoshi Kusama and requesting funds.

In a tweet, Shiba Inu-focused X-handle ShibArmy Scam Alerts warns the SHIB community to beware of scammers on Telegram posing as Shiba Inu leader Shytoshi Kusama and requesting funds.

Scammers are increasingly targeting the Shiba Inu community, attempting to capitalize on the popularity of the dog token. These scammers create fake profiles and accounts to impersonate legitimate figures in the Shiba Inu community, in this case Shytoshi Kusama, and approach unsuspecting community members with requests for money, often promising rewards or exclusive opportunities.

The warning stresses that Shytoshi Kusama will never request money from anyone. Such requests should be treated as fraud and reported immediately.

With this in mind, the SHIB community is urged to stay informed and cautious and ensure that they only use official channels for updates and communications.

Shiba Inu community warns of fake Telegram channels promoting airdrops

In another tweet, ShibArmy Scam Alert warns the Shiba Inu community about fake Telegram channels promoting airdrops without being affiliated with the Shiba Inu ecosystem, pointing out that they are scams.

“Be wary of fake Telegram channels promoting airdrops, token migrations, or offers that require you to connect your wallets to receive free assets. These are all scams designed to loot your cryptocurrency,” ShibArmy Scam Alerts wrote in a tweet. Typically, these fraudulent websites create a sense of urgency by displaying countdown timers to get users to quickly make claims without verifying legitimacy, it added.

With this in mind, members of the Shiba Inu community are urged not to rush and always take their time to check and ensure the authenticity of all offers before connecting their wallets. They should also take the time to check official social media channels and only talk to trusted people to confirm the validity of all offers.
