Drones attacked an oil refinery in the Kaluga region, causing a fire. According to Russian media reports, several powerful explosions were heard around 1 a.m. near the Polotnyanyy power plant station in the region’s Dzerzhinsky district. It was reported that the air defense systems were active.

Eyewitnesses reported hearing the distinctive sounds of several UAVs flying overhead, followed by the appearance of fire and smoke in the area of ​​the local oil depot, known as First Plant.

Governor Vladislav Shapsha confirmed the attack on the plant in Dzerzhinsky district: “Yesterday evening a fire broke out when a UAV crashed on the company’s premises in Dzerzhinsky district. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the fire. The fire is currently extinguished. According to preliminary information, there are no injuries. “An assessment of the extent of the damage to the company’s infrastructure is underway,” reported the head of the region.
