Fog warning for Wisconsin: Dense fog expected overnight in the La Crosse area

La Crosse, WI – Dense fog is expected overnight in and west of the Mississippi River, affecting the La Crosse area and far southwestern Wisconsin. The National Weather Service has issued a fog advisory, warning that visibility could drop to a quarter mile or less in some places. The fog is expected to be thickest for a few hours around sunrise.

According to the National Weather Service, conditions are expected to improve between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. Residents are advised to use their headlights, slow down and maintain greater distance between vehicles to ensure safe travel.

In addition to the fog warning, the weekly weather forecast for La Crosse shows mixed conditions. Today is mostly cloudy with highs of 27°C and a 45% chance of rain. On Monday there is a 30% chance of rain with temperatures between 18 and 27°C. On Tuesday there is a 60% chance of rain with highs of 26°C.

The weather forecast for midweek looks more promising: on Wednesday the sky will be partly cloudy and the maximum temperature will be 26 °C. On Thursday the skies will clear up and offer sunny weather and a maximum temperature of 27 °C. On Friday the trend will continue with clear skies and temperatures of up to 28 °C.
