UH football team’s star wide receiver arrested for aggravated assault

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – University of Hawaii wide receiver Steven McBride, 22, was arrested early Saturday morning on charges of assaulting a family member.

The Rainbow Warriors senior starter was arrested in Wahiawa and charged with a serious crime.

McBride remains in the HPD cell block.

Multiple sources told Hawaii News Now that McBride allegedly pushed a woman who was holding a baby.

McBride gained more than a thousand yards and caught nine touchdowns in the 2023 season.

HNN contacted a spokesperson for the University of Hawaii but did not receive a response.
