Montgomery County Police Investigate a Series of Fatal Accidents

According to authorities, a woman and a man were killed in two separate traffic accidents in Montgomery County, Maryland.

According to authorities, a woman and a man were killed in two separate traffic accidents in Montgomery County, Maryland.

According to Montgomery County police, the first two-car crash occurred early Saturday morning in Montgomery Village.

First responders were called to the area of ​​Goshen Road near Rock Elm Way around 2:15 a.m., police said.

According to the department’s preliminary investigation, a blue Kia collided with a white Hyundai. The Hyundai driver was extricated from the vehicle and taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said. Her name has not yet been released.

The driver of the Kia was taken to hospital with injuries that police described as serious but not life-threatening.

In addition, a man died in an accident involving a combine harvester shortly before 2 p.m. on Saturday.

According to a news release, officers and Montgomery County Fire and Emergency Services responded to a reported collision between a motorcycle and farm equipment in the 24800 block of Old Hundred Road/109 in Dickerson.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. His name has not yet been released.

The combine harvester driver remained on site.

As a result of the accident, this section of Old Hundred Road/109 was closed for hours.
