14-year-old boy killed in car crash in Houston

A 14-year-old boy was found dead after being shot in a car in Houston on Saturday.

Officers responded to a report that a person had been shot at 8800 Hammerly Blvd around 12:45 p.m. Saturday.

When units arrived at the scene in a parking lot, they found the teen driving a parked vehicle with a gunshot wound. The boy was unconscious and Houston Fire Department officials pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

An investigation into the teenager’s murder is underway.

According to a report, the victim was last seen talking to a Hispanic woman. The woman was followed by a Hispanic man, who was wearing a black hoodie, blue pants and black sandals. The man was also carrying a black and white Nike backpack. Investigators believe the duo was seen running through the apartment complex at the time of the murder.
