1 dead after wrong-way driver crash on I-75 in Middletown – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio

MIDDLETOWN – One person was killed in a wrong-way driving crash on Interstate 75 in Middletown Saturday afternoon, said Lt. Ray Santiago of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The accident was reported around 3:14 p.m. in the northbound lanes near State Route 122.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2011 Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling in the northbound lanes and collided with a 2016 Nissan Rouge.

The driver of the Nissan died in the accident, Santiago said. His identity was not initially known.

The driver of the pickup truck was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating this accident.
