Atlanta police release video of hijacked ambulance chase, suspect arrested – WSB-TV Channel 2

ATLANTA — WARNING: The video above may contain explicit language.

In April, a man was arrested after stealing the ambulance he was being treated in and leading police, deputies and troopers on a chase.

The Clayton County Sheriff’s Office said Ladarius Williams, 27, stole a private Amerimed ambulance from Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge while he was being treated. Paramedics on board were forced to jump out of the back of the moving ambulance.

The ambulance hit a utility pole at Tara Blvd. and Dixon Rd., about 10 miles from the hospital.

After the accident, Williams jumped out and ran away, but was quickly arrested.

Atlanta police are now releasing footage from a dash cam, body cameras and their helicopter showing the pursuit and arrest of Williams.
