1-year-old run over in fatal accident in Fayette

ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – An 18-month-old child was struck and killed in a car crash in Fayette on Tuesday.

State police said they responded to a report of a car crash involving a child on Aunkst Road in Fayette around 4 p.m.

After the investigation, it emerged that 33-year-old Sarah Wise had run over the 18-month-old child, who she thought was safe in the vehicle.

The child’s death was confirmed at the scene. The investigation is ongoing, but no charges are expected at this time.
