Police investigate suspected knife attack to face and neck in Carlisle

CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) – Carlisle Police are investigating a reported stabbing incident that occurred earlier today.

According to Carlisle police, officers were called to the 400 block of North Hanover Street at around 9:16 a.m. on July 20 for a report of a stabbing.


When they arrived, officers found a stabbing victim who was being helped by passers-by. Emergency services were immediately called to treat the serious injuries to the face and neck.

According to police, the suspect, Henry Gumby, was spotted nearby and arrested.

The investigation is ongoing. Nothing is known about the victim’s condition.
