After a year-long investigation, truck driver was arrested for soliciting minors for sex

CONCORDIA PARISH, La. (KNOE) – A truck driver was arrested after an investigation began in January 2023 by the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Cyber Crime Unit. According to CPSO, the investigation began after the man used multiple accounts and platforms to solicit minors for sex.

Officials say Albert Douglas Bingham, 48, a Canadian citizen, has been positively identified and an arrest warrant has been filed with the National Crime Information Center. CPSO says Bingham took several steps to conceal his identity. They say he used false names and locations and claimed he was a truck driver from Texas who frequently traveled through Louisiana.

The investigation found that Bingham engaged in lewd dialogue with minors for months and made plans to meet them while passing through the state.

In April 2024, investigators received information from Canadian customs officials that Bingham boarded a plane bound for the United States. When he landed, he was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Concordia Parish Jail.

Bingham was arrested for computer-aided incitement to engage in petty and indecent behavior toward juveniles.
