Florida man arrested for “written death threats” against Trump and Vance days after assassination

A Florida man has been accused of making “written death threats” against former President Trump, Senator JD Vance and their families, just days after a Pennsylvania man attempted to assassinate the 45th president.

Jupiter police said 68-year-old Michael M. Wiseman was arrested Friday for sending written death threats.

Authorities alleged that Wiseman posted threats against the Republican presidential and vice presidential candidates on his Facebook account and also made threats against members of the Trump and Vance families.

Jupiter, Florida, is about 20 miles, or about a 30-minute drive, north of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach.

“JPD coordinated the investigation with the United States Secret Service and the Palm Beach County District Attorney’s Office,” the department said. “JPD officers took Wiseman into custody without incident.”
